Rochester Wed Singles League: Week #12 / Chili (no show)

I purchased some used discs at a local Play it Again Sports this past week.
Innova (Star?)  FireBird 165/yellow new
Innova Star TL 175/yellow (used)
Innova Star Excaliber 174/yellow (used, no design)
Discraft Stalker 170/red (used) for backhand throws

So went to Ellison to practice at 7am and I lost my Red TeeBird at Basket #11.

The Firebird rolls a lot, the used TL and Excaliber gave good distance but i miss the Teebird and Sidewinder. The Stalker doesn't seem like I can throw it sidearm. So, I also ordered a new SideWinder and TeeBird from Disc Golf Center. I am approaching the attitude of just having a bunch of discs and not worrying about losing them. I decided not to go to singles until I practice more with all of my discs (for the sake of score, not loss).

Rochester Wed Singles League: Week #11 / MCC (no show)

Yesterday I lost two discs while practicing at Ellison at 7am.
My lightblue Valkyrie, which I never learned to throw right anyway, and my yellow Sidewinder which I use for every single drive. Who knows if I will get them back, Ellison is a very busy park.

I am not playing tonight. MCC has a big lake and one hole requires a 200 ft throw across to the basket. I am not ready to lose another this week.

Rochester Wed Singles League: Week #10 / Ellison

Best Day at Ellison this summer !
I am continuing to use the TeeBird and SideWinder with my forehand throw to drive and approach. Some straight drives and approaches, some off to side drives. I really need to develop my backhand throw for a approach shots from midfield..We started at hole #1, I scored a birdie on Hole 6 and had par until hole 8. Then I missed a 2-foot putt on Hole 8, then funked out a 6 on hole 9.
I scored 6 for each of the "trouble" baskets (#9, #13, #17)
>Basket 9 - about 400 feet uphill, scattered trees
>Basket 13 - about 535 feet long with brush and trees in midfield, and to the right
>Basket 17 - about 450 feet long with scattered trees to the left, and brush and trees to the right

Final score 68 (!) = 1@2 (birdie), 8@par, 4@4 (bogeys), 3@6!
